I never fathomed how incredibly difficult it would be to pick just ten books. So on incredibly difficult in fact, it was agonizing. Truth of the matter is, we all need to read. Educate ourselves and make sure our children are educated as well. Some books I put on the list were classics, others were informative, and some just were lessons needed to be taught.

  1. Of Mice and Men (John Steinbeck)

  2. To Kill A Mockingbird (Harper Lee)

  3. Pride and Prejudice (Jane Austen)

  4. The Catcher In the Rye (J.D. Salinger)

  5. Wuthering Heights (Emily Bronte)

  6. Hamlet (William Shakespeare)

  7. Girl On A Train (Erin Cressida)

  8. The Odessey (Homer)

  9. The Five Love Languages (Gary Chapman)

  10. Gift of Fear (Gavin de Becker)

Each of these books are an amazing opportunity to learn something. Take the book about love languages. Normally, not a book I would read. In fact, I would walk right by it without second glance. Hard for me to admit, but I did learn quite a bit. You will at least learn that no single person can save the world, challenges to morality/religion/and society, ways of expressing and receiving love, and survival signals that protect us from violence. I won't give away which book you will learn what from. Give it a chance!!!! I can promise you will not regret it.
